Key Performance Outputs:
Manage the day to day running of the AMC facility including AMC staff according to policies and procedures.
Proactively manage issues and events that can result in delays and affect the wider passenger, baggage and aircraft (PBA) processes across the airport.
Proactively identify and respond effectively to issues and events related to transfers and anticipate the occurrence of possible transfer irregularities or broken connections.
Strive for continuous improvement with respect to delay management on behalf of the AMC and the airport as a whole.
Facilitate cross-functional/organisational communication including information sharing within the AMC to manage and analyse events effectively.
Steer the AMC Representatives in managing the recovery of events and delays to the PBA processes as efficiently as possible.
Technical Skills and Experience:
This position requires a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent prior learning/and experience, based on job requirements, within the position.
This position calls for a candidate with at least 5 years management experience with specific reference to People, Customer, Process and Risk Management.
The successful candidate must have good knowledge of Airport Operations, Emergency Response Preparedness, Environmental Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Aviation Security and Strategic Planning. Good knowledge and application of Microsoft Office packages is required.
Competencies:
The successful candidate must have strong customer focus and must have good planning and problem solving skills. An understanding of how business works and the ability to achieve results through various channels in the organization, including using resources effectively and efficiently is also required. The successful candidate must have the ability and drive to build effective teams and relationships.
